As a researcher, I was able to explore more deeply the issues regarding the role of educational leaders and administrators in the realm of instruction in the classroom. These opportunities have strengthened my commitment to equitable learning environments for all students in our public school system. Leaders are called to understand and analyze the daily work of instruction in order to better serve students so that they can achieve the highest goals of college and career readiness. As a LEEP graduate and the Coordinator of State and Federal Programs in San Lorenzo Unified School District, I have the unique opportunity to put into action the lessons learned from LEEP in service to students from socio-economically disadvantaged and English learners.
